お母さん、私は後時間で祖国のために散っていきます。
胸は日本晴れ。本当ですよお母さん。少しも怖くない。
しかしね、時間があったので考えてみましたら、少し寂しくなってきました。
それは、今日私が戦死した通知が届く。お父さんは男だからわかっていただけると思います。
が、お母さん。お母さんは女だから、優しいから、涙が出るのでありませんか。
弟や妹たちも兄ちゃんが死んだといって寂しく思うでしょうね。

お母さん。

こんなことを考えてみましたら、私も人の子。やはり寂しい。
しかしお母さん。

考えて見てください。今日私が特攻隊で行かなければどうなると思いますか。
戦争はこの日本本土まで迫って、この世の中で一番好きだった母さんが死なれるから
私が行くのですよ。
母さん。
今日私が特攻隊で行かなければ、年をとられたお父さんまで、銃をとるようになりますよ。
だからね。お母さん。
今日私が戦死したからといってどうか涙だけは耐えてくださいね。
でもやっぱりだめだろうな。お母さんは優しい人だったから。
お母さん、私はどんな敵だって怖くはありません。私が一番怖いのは、母さんの涙です。
